Association Update
As a member of Santa Rosa Professional Educators (SRPE), you gain the power to negotiate effectively with employers on key issues such as wages, benefits, workplace safety, and job training. SRPE is committed to ensuring fair treatment by enforcing the terms of the Master Contract. To stay informed, click here to watch our live stream video from August 29, 2023.
We are actively in negotiations with the district, having already had two meetings where we presented proposals that address member concerns, including a salary increase. To stay updated on the negotiation process, tune in to our next meeting on Thursday, September 21, 2023, which is open to the public. Don't forget to like and subscribe to our YouTube channel to receive live stream notifications.
SRPE President David Godwin is also making rounds at schools to provide updates on both the negotiations and other local topics of interest.
Bored Teachers at Saenger Theater
To celebrate the end of the 2022-2023 school year, SRPE hosted a drawing where four lucky members won a pair of tickets each to the Bored Teachers Comedy Show. If you're not familiar with Bored Teachers, now's the perfect time to get acquainted. Take a break from grading, set aside your Netflix binge, and gather your teaching buddies for an evening of laughter and stress relief.
Grand Canyon National Park:
Every Kid Outdoors
Kick off the 2023-2024 school year with an adventure! The Every Kid Outdoors pass offers all current 4th graders—and their families, including homeschoolers—the chance to explore federal public lands at no cost. What's more, the school year starts on September 1, perfectly aligning with Labor Day weekend for those who wish to travel. Don't miss out on this great opportunity—Every Kid Outdoors!
Dues Update
Scan the QR code above to be taken to the current member payment update form and retain your SRPE protection!
Attention SRPE Members: Changes are afoot regarding your membership dues. Due to the recent passage of Senate Bill 256, public employee unions in Florida—excluding some firefighters and police forces—can no longer have membership dues automatically deducted from paychecks by employers.
Consequently, SRCSD will no longer be able to handle these transactions for SRPE. If you haven't updated your payment method yet, now is the time. Electronic updates can be made by clicking here or scanning the provided QR code. For those without electronic banking, hard copy forms are available through your worksite AR or by contacting us at SRPE.Office@srpeducators.com.
